Baked Potato Wedges

Baked Potato wedges are a easy-to-make and healthy version of potato wedges that can complement a variety of meals, from burgers and sandwiches to grilled meats and salads. They are simple to prepare, requiring just a few basic ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Medium Sized PPotatoes
  • 2 Tablespoon Cornflour
  • 1 Teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/3 Cup Oil

  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Prepare The Potatoes: First, wash the potatoes to remove all dirt. Cut each potato into 2 parts. Then cut each part in 4 to 5 wedges.
  2. Simmer The Wedges: Bring water, add the wedges and simmer them for 3 minutes adding a little salt to the water. Drain the water and keep the potatoes aside. Cool completely.
  3. Seasoning: Take a mixing bowl. Now take the potatoes, add oregano, pepper, salt, red chilli powder and oil, and mix them with the help of a spatula.
Baking Time
  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminium foil. Also, preheat oven at 180° C. Line the potatoes on the parchment paper keeping a space of ½ to 1 inch between them.
  2. Place the baking tray in the oven with both the top and bottom heating elements on. Bake at 180° for about 25 to 30 minutes. Timing varies from oven to oven. So do keep a check.
  3. Serve hot with your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

  • The herbs, seasonings and spices can be adjusted as per your taste.
  • For garnish, opt to sprinkle some fresh herbs
